How We Got Here
Through countless shopping trips, innumerable disappointing try-ons, and decades of searching, hoping and begging the Universe to lead you to the “perfect” pair of Jeans for you. THAT’S how we got here and I’m exhausted.
FACT: Bodies change and whether it’s due to pregnancy, puberty, surgery, menopause or just being super bloated on a random Wednesday, biology and hormones happen to all of us. The size 10 pair of jeans you wore at age 24 most likely won’t fit the same at age 54. That’s why I’ve built this, and here’s how it works:
Neither one is a verdict on you. The quiz meets the body you have today — not the one you had at 30.
- A four-step quiz with five blended body-zone sliders — tummy, backside, hips, thighs, and calves — because one size does NOT fit all.
- Ranked matches with an easy-to-understand explanation as to why it's a good fit.
- Results for all sizes.
- We won't ever ask for your weight, because a number on a scale has never been a measure of how jeans fit you.
The Honest Truth About Denim Sizing
I ordered two of the exact same jeans from right here… and here’s what I found.

I clicked a match link from our own quiz and ordered two pairs from a major denim brand — same cut, same size, two very slightly different washes. Close enough that I genuinely thought they were the same color.
The first pair almost audibly screamed “No ma’am!” However, the second pair slid right on without even having to unzip them.
Same brand. Same style. Same size on the tag. One fit like it was sewn for me and one didn’t. That’s when I knew we had to pull back the curtain on what really happens behind the denim rack… and here’s what I found.
One Style, Five Factories
Big brands don’t make one style in one factory. They spread the same jeans across several shops — sometimes in different countries. Different machines, different patterns, different hands. Same label, different pants.
Cut in a stack of eighty
Fabric is often cut in stacks forty to eighty layers deep. The piece on top of the stack and the piece at the bottom drift a little apart from each other. That’s how two pairs with the same number on the tag end up a size apart in real life.
The wash vat decides
Denim goes through pumice, enzymes and hot rinses. A pair that spends a few extra minutes in the drum comes out smaller than its twin. That’s why one wash hugs you and the other one fights you.
The golden rule: if a pair doesn’t zip, your body is not the problem.
Before you give up on a cut, try a different wash — or grab a second pair in the exact same size so you can compare them side by side. It’s the only advice that ever actually saved me.
